The TRAC 2018 theme is “Methods, Models, and Emerging Concerns”. TRAC 2018 is a 4-day meeting co-sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)/Agency for Toxic Substances Disease Registry, CDC/National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, National Institute for Environmental Health Sciences, US Air Force, and US Army. TRAC presents current toxicology and risk assessment research, methodologic, and practice issues from relevant federal agencies, academic institutions, industry, and other organizations.

The first and last days include risk assessment method workshops, including basic and advanced dose-response modeling and chemical mixtures (with consideration of QSAR and high-throughput data) and risk communications training. The plenary and main technical sessions on days two and three include a scientific poster session and trainee competition on day two. This year’s plenary features Dr. Tina Bahadori (US Environmental Protection Agency), Dr. Linda S. Birnbaum (National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, National Toxicology Program), Dr. Patrick M. Breysse (National Center for Environmental Health, Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry), and Mr. John J. Resta, US Army Public Health Center, US Army Medical Command).

Also featured is a poster session, with trainee competition and prizes, for which the poster abstract deadline is March 12, 2018.  The poster session is designed to provide participants the opportunity to share their work in a focused, collegial environment. We invite poster abstract submissions that have been submitted in the previous year at other relevant conferences to stimulate discussion in the more focused environment of TRAC.

Previous TRAC continuing education accreditations were (1) through the CDC and (2) for maintenance of certification (MOC) by the American Board of Preventive Medicine. Please see the TRAC website for CE statements.

Please monitor the TRAC website for updates on conference information. Poster abstract submissions and other questions can be emailed to
